Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund - see attachment

Round 3 of the £2.6m Greater Manchester Green Spaces Fund is now open to applications, seeking community projects that will make a real difference to their local area. The fund makes small and large grants available for community groups wanting to create new, accessible spaces or improve existing ones in their local area, particularly where there is currently poor local access to good quality green space. Projects should improve publicly accessible spaces through physical improvements to make them better places for nature and people. These projects could take place in parks, community gardens, streets, schools, housing estates, canals, streams, rivers and existing nature reserves. Potential applicants can find out more on the Green Spaces Fund website here.

Childcare Surveys, Manchester Council wants parents/carers views

Please encourage parents/carers to complete the following surveys.

Manchester City Council would like to hear your views on childcare and early learning opportunities in the City and have developed two surveys to capture your feedback.  One survey relates to childcare for children under 5 years of age, the other for childcare for children over 5 years of age.  It would be very much appreciated if you could circulate both surveys and encourage parents/carers to complete them.

The information received will be used to inform childcare sufficiency assessments for the City. This will help us to better understand demand for childcare, identify gaps and develop solutions. Parents/carers may complete both surveys if they have children aged 0-5 years and 5 years plus.  Please also encourage all Manchester resident staff who have children to complete the survey which is most appropriate to them.

The deadline for completing the surveys is Monday 24th April 2023.
