CHS South is thrilled to announce that we have been awarded the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA), a prestigious national recognition for our ongoing commitment to working with parents/carers and the community to enhance all aspects of school life.
This award highlights our efforts to build strong, supportive relationships with families, recognising that successful partnerships between home and school play a crucial role in the academic and personal development of our students.
The assessors’ report commended CHS South’s comprehensive approach, stating:
“The school has a very clear strategic vision with regard to parental engagement. Parental engagement is one of the central principles of the school and leaders ensure it is an integral part of the school’s development.”
The report also praised the school’s clear communication strategies, including the newsletter ‘The South Insight’, and highlighted the ongoing efforts to engage with parents/carers through events such as ‘Culture Night’, where feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. In addition, it noted:
“There is a real drive, at all levels, to continue to develop even more effective ways to engage and involve parents in both their children’s education and the wider life of the school community.”
Looking ahead, CHS South remains committed to continually improving engagement with parents/carers. Plans include further developing our communication channels and encouraging even more parents/carers to participate in events.
We are proud of the work we’ve done, but we know there is always room to grow. As the assessors noted,
“Leaders evaluate the impact of all their actions, and this has informed the key areas on which to focus on the next academic year and beyond.”
This award reflects the hard work and dedication of our entire school community - students, staff, and parents/carers - working together to provide the best possible environment for our young people to thrive.
