We are delighted to share that one of our students recently took part in a special Chinese New Year celebration, performing as part of a Lion Dance troupe at Manchester Fo Guang Shan.
Manchester Fo Guang Shan is a Buddhist temple that promotes cultural education, community service and the preservation of traditional Chinese arts and heritage. As part of the celebrations welcoming the Year of the Horse, our student performed in the Lion Dance - a vibrant and symbolic tradition that represents good fortune, strength and prosperity for the year ahead.
Taking part in such an important cultural event is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful example of learning and personal development beyond the classroom. We are incredibly proud to see our students embracing their heritage, contributing to their communities and developing confidence through meaningful experiences.
At CHS South, we are proud to see our students being Creative, Happy and Successful both inside and outside of school.
