Last week, CHS South welcomed Year 10 and Year 11 students and their families to the school’s annual Post-16 Event, a key date in the calendar designed to support students as they begin planning their next steps.
The evening took the form of a ‘jobs fair’ style event, with a wide range of post-16 providers on hand to offer advice, answer questions, and share information about courses, training, and career pathways.
A huge thank you goes to the organisations who supported the event, including:
• Salford Colleges
• Trafford College
• William Hulme
• Stockport FC
• Xaverian College
• Loreto College
• Manchester College
• Royal Air Force
• Football Futures
The event gave Year 10 students an early insight into the opportunities available beyond GCSEs, while Year 11 students were able to focus on making informed decisions as they prepare for the next stage of their education and training.
Events like this are so important in helping our students make confident, informed choices about their futures. We’re grateful to all of the providers who attended and offered such valuable advice and guidance. - Mr David Prophet, Headteacher
