Over the weekend we have made some changes to our website to make it easier to navigate for students and families whilst they undertake distance learning. If you visit www.chssouth.org.uk you will find a new tab at the top of the page entitled 'CHS Distance Learning'; click here to visit. We have used this area to organize distance learning information into 3 areas for students: Creative, Happy & Successful. The Creative page shares ideas of creative projects, puzzles and learning opportunities we have encountered; the Happy page is where we will host our online Assemblies and will provide students with advice and guidance about their welfare; the Successful page hosts information about academic learning for students. We will continue to shape and develop these pages of the website over the coming weeks so please refer to them to support your students to continue their learning whilst away from school.
We have also posted our first online Assembly for South students on the website today; you can watch it here. In this message I talk to students about the revised website and how to approach their learning over the week ahead; it's about ten minutes long and would be useful video to watch together to set out expectations for the week ahead. Again, we will continue add more messages from staff over the coming weeks, so please keep an eye on these pages for these.
I will be in touch again at the end of the week to discuss our approach to learning over the Easter holiday period.
